09/06/2022- Why do I have to be flexible?

Pilot is my aunt's dog and I love him very much because he is quiet and he doesn't bark. He gently sniffs me and plays with me without jumping or licking me, but Pilot is more inflexible than me. All my teachers and everyone says I should be more flexible but no one shouts and tells Pilot to be more flexible.

Let me tell you how inflexible Pilot is-

Pilot drops all the water on the kitchen floor in my house because the bowl is different and refuses to drink water. I drink water from different glasses when I go out and I never make a fuss.

Pilot is inflexible with his food and only eats meat and leaves all the vegetables on the side. He doesn't even eat a potato chip. I eat all the food that is served to me and I eat all vegetables and healthy food.

Pilot cries and howls like a wolf when my aunt goes out. He sits in my aunt's suitcase and cries when she is packing to go out of town. When my parents go out of town I feel lonely and sad but I stay calmly with my sister and play. I behave well because I know mummy and daddy will come home soon. Maybe Pilot can't understand that, he thinks that my aunt will not come home.

Pilot doesn't like to pee in our garden he only pees in his own garden. So he can't spend the night with me. I think this is very silly.

Pilot only sits in one place and always wants the AC on. My uncle and aunt are trying to train in him but he doesn't listen.

Pilot doesn't like to have a bath. Once after a bath he peed all over the house and spoilt everything. My aunt shouted at him and then he felt very bad and hid under the bed.

Pilot feels very jealous when my aunt plays with other dogs, so he growls and tries to attack the other dogs. Sometimes I feel jealous too so I can understand Pilot. Especially when my aunt had a new baby and she was carrying her all the time, I felt like no one liked me anymore and I felt very sad.

Do you think this is fair? I wonder why dogs can be inflexible but children have to be flexible all the time? I want to be inflexible like Pilot and I don't like change. When ever I feel like this mummy reminds me about what Rafiki said to Simba in Lion King - 'CHANGE IS GOOD'. This makes me feel little better. Maybe dogs can't understand this.
